The Palace del Embarcadero hosts the exhibition 'Le Désir to leave' the trip of the North Collection, a sample in which Chema Alvargonzález, Sergio Belinchón, Vari Caramés, Félix Curto, Leopoldo Ferrán/Agustina Otero, Hamish Fulton, Hamish Fulton, Hamish Fulton, are present, Hamish Fulton, Emilio González Sáinz, Eduardo Gruber, Ciuco Gutiérrez, Pablo leaves, Ellen Kooi, José Lourenço, José María Mellado, Fúlvio Mendes, Andrés Monteagudo, Michael Najjar, Anna Olivella, Betsabée Romero, Ixone Sádaba, Adrián Tyler and Luis Vioque. From Ulysses to the American Roadmovie, "He gives him to leave" raises an approach to the cultural constructions that surround the habit, the need to undertake a trip, evoked in the artistic images that make up the North Collection. The trip appears frequently in universal literature as a metaphor of life, especially in what it has to search. Through trips, we seek peace, truth, change, happiness, knowledge. If the trip is the great activator of experiences and possibilities, the désir to leave is the manifestation of our need for perfection, a syndrome of an ontological dissatisfaction. For this exhibition, curated by Mónica Álvarez Careaga, 24 works, paintings and photographs, of 22 artists from the North Collection, the Contemporary Art Fund of regional ownership that brings together works of art in a chronological framework that covers since the years since the years since the years since the years 90 of the last century until today. Among the selected artists, are the Cantabrians Emilio González Sáinz, Eduardo Gruber, Cico Gutiérrez and Pablo leaves. The exhibition, produced by the Port Authority of Santander with the collaboration of the Government of Cantabria, has been created specifically for the Palace del Embarcadero and unfolds in the walls of the exhibition space as a private cabinet, evoking the origin of the works of a only collection. Four thematic sections characterize the assembly: "Camino" "Inner Journey", "Destiny" and "Nomads" in which the viewer is suggested a reflection on the traveling condition in which mass tourism, religious pilgrimage, the religious pilgrimage, the Imagined city, the repetitive highway or the walk through the mountain.
