The president of the Government of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, during his stay in Santander on the occasion of the Vela World Cup, met the new areas of Gamazo, the Duna de Zaera and El Dique, where he approached the house of bombs to contemplate the exhibition on Gamazo's dike and his rehabilitation.
During the tour he was accompanied by the president of the port of Santander, José Joaquín Martínez Sieso, who explained details of the operation of the old dike, and the rehabilitation works carried out and inaugurated in the first days of September.
