The works of the bike lane that will link the maritime station with the Varadero dock area have already begun. They are planned to be completed before the end of the year.
It is a stretch of 1,252 meters that will connect the bike lanes of the Botín Center and the future of the Paseo de Marqués de la Hermida. Its width is 2.10 meters in a large part of the route, and in some areas it will be more than 1.85 meters. The pavement used will be the same as in the sardinero, red agglomerate.
This bike lane runs through land of the port of Santander assigned to the City Council to carry out this and other works such as the public parking and the Marqués de la Hermida Paseo.
