The Macaw Arrow made its first scale in Santander-Press NOTE (06/20/2014)

19 Jun 2014
The Macaw Arrow freighter, of the Gearbulk company and consigned in Cantabria by Bergé, made its first scale in the port of Santander where Solvay's Sodium cargo charged to Brazil. This has been the first scale that this ship has made in Santander, so responsible for the Port Authority and the consignee gave the captain of the Metopa Metopa commemorative. The Macaw Arrow, who came out this year of the Japanese shipyards of Nagasaki, is 210 meters in length and 36 of manga, so it is qualified as ‘New Panamax’ since by its size it cannot cross the current Panama Canal. The maximum load you can transport is 69,990 tons, and has a power of 9,390 steam horses.
