Luis Vázquez 'Curro' and Raúl Serrano are the two creators who bring the documentary and exhibition 'Luz del Mar. the history of the last farmers', a job with which the authors have wanted Tell the story of the headlights through the voice of those who live and work around them. Not only do they portray the ‘Torreros’, but also their relatives, fishermen, artists and writers who have developed their work around this topic. The authors portray the reality of those who consider ‘last heirs’ of an office of many centuries and with a very important trajectory in the history of worldwide navigation that provide a very important cultural and technical legacy. The documentary approaches a profession in extinction. A Farera that retires. A lover of his profession forced to live away from his lighthouse. A representative of the latest generation of Torreros. A painter. A historian. All of them linked to a heritage in danger of disappearance. This tape has a duration of 72 minutes and was selected for the 2012 Goya Awards. Parallel to the documentary and as part of the same project a sample is presented with 19 large format photographs, all of lighthouses and related to the documentary, which have been carried out by Luis Vázquez. Both the Lighthouse of Cabo Mayor and the Island of Mouro have a lot of presence in the documentary and in the exhibition. The exhibition will be at the Cabo Mayor Faro until June 29 from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Closed Monday.
