The president and director of the Port of Santander, José Joaquín Martínez Sieso and Cristina López Arias, respectively, delivered a metap on the occasion of his farewell to retirement position.
López-Dóriga has held the position of Santander Maritime Captain for 13 years, although since 1993 he was linked to the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine. Previously, from 1980 to 1993 he was responsible for the dredging service in what was then the Board of the Port of Santander.
