The president of the Port Authority of Santander, José Joaquín Martínez Sieso, participated in the Autumn Meeting of the Association for Collaboration between Ports and Cities, Rette, which was held last week in Funchal, capital of Madeira.
The port of Santander came as a partner to this meeting, in which the meeting of the Governing Board and the Council of the Association, Deliberative Superior Organ and Deciance of Rete, which is made up of all its affiliates gathered in the Assembly took place in the Association , and a seminar on Atlantic island ports. The attendees also made a technical visit to the cruise and commercial terminals of the port of Funchal.
Rette annually celebrates two meetings of his advice that, in addition to marking the direction of the association, constitute fundamental events in the corporate life of the same. Areas of coexistence, dialogue and cohesion of their partners, these "meetings", through the seminars integrated in their programming, also offer the opportunity to explore and reflect from a scientific perspective on the issues and issues that concern port cities.
Rette was chaired by the Port Authority of Santander from 2010 to the end of 2012. Once his mandate was completed, he was relieved by the administer of two Portos do Douro E Leixões.
