Recently, the port of Santander has participated in this year's edition of Seatrade, the largest cruise fair in northern Europe. The Santander Delegation was formed by its president, José Joaquín Martínez Sieso, and a responsible for the commercial department, Sophie Lanos. The Santander Puerto attended other Spanish ports within the state ports stand. Seatrade brings together every two years in the German Hamburg city and every two in a port in southern Europe, to ports, shipping companies and other agents of the cruise sector. During his stay at the Fair, the representation of Santander met with different shipping companies to publicize the offer of the port of Santander as a tourist ship receiver. In addition, the representatives of Santander participated in various actions of the Cruise Europe and Atlantic Alliance stands. Cruise Europe is an association of around 100 ports that, among its initiatives, is the celebration of an international meeting with an annual basis and that in 2015 the organization will correspond to Santander. For his part, the president was present in meetings on Hafen City, an urban project that has been developed in Hamburg to transform the old area of ​​port discharge and storage; with a visit to the new Puerto-city area of ​​this German town.
