26 Aug 2013
The adequacy works of the Gamazo spring esplanade are already completed, thus advancing to the scheduled date, set in the month of September. These works, which began last April, have been carried out in the land between the Gamazo dike and the fishing fishing school, and have included the elimination of existing buildings in the area, earth movements, realization of walls and escolleras, construction of service networks and a ramp, among others.
With the completion of this work, it has been possible to adapt the necessary surface of the San Martín area, with the aim of locating the 460 vessels for the 2014 candle world championship, in addition to the ramp of its launch.
For the port of Santander, this action is one more step in its commitment to regenerate and bring spaces in the city, to date very degraded, highlighting its commitment to enhance the enjoyment of all of them by citizens. It also involves the start of a fundamental performance for the next World Cup 2014, which will be held in Santander.
