The Faro Major Art Center hosted the presentation of the book by José Luis Martín Morales, ‘El Faro de los Carantilados’. This work, edited by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil, mixture humor, mystery, adventure and love in the context of the civil war, and setting in a similar place to the end of Faro Mayor de Santander.
‘The lighthouse of the cliffs’ is, according to its author, “a novel of initiation and learning” in which the protagonists will have to overcome the shipwreck of a ship, the death of a loved one and a love story. Throughout the work, adolescents join experiences taken from life and discovered books.
This novel is recommended for readers from thirteen years.
After the presentation of the work, and as a tribute for Book Day, José Luis Martín Nogales put a message in a bottle that subsequently threw the sea from the Lighthouse of Cabo Mayor. The objective of this is to reach someone who, when opening the bottle, will find a sheet where he is told from where, why and who threw this bottle. In addition, the author on the sheet explains that “on the anniversary of the death of Shakeaspeare and Cervantes, a tribute was made to the books and the great works of the literature of all time. Because every Libor is a message released into the sea in a bottle, waiting for someone to read it. ”
In addition, whoever finds this bottle will be able to obtain some of the best books in the history of Spanish literature, from the 'Cantar del Mio Cid', or 'La Celestina', to the poems of Machado, Juan Ramón Jiménez or Salinas, going through ' Lazarillo 'or' El Quijote ', among others.
