The Palacio de la Magdalena de Santander within the scope of the UIMP will host this Thursday and Friday, June 28 and 29, the V Conference of Innovation in the Port Cluster, which are entitled "Management and Innovation: Strategic Allies." José Joaquín Martínez Sieso, president of the Port Authority of Santander, will be in charge of the inauguration of these days that will gather in the capital of Cantabria to experts in innovation and i+d+i in this area.
In this meeting and through the presentation of examples and experiences of innovation in different aspects of the sector, it seeks to sensitize with respect to the importance of the “Management-Personas-Innovation” axis in the business and business processes of the 21st century, as well as its Importance in the support and prosperity of companies and organizations in global markets with increasingly fluctuating behaviors. And it is demonstrated that the success of any company to persist in the current environments of enormous competitiveness is associated with innovation, as a source of long -term productivity and as a fundamental engine of business activity.
The organizers, among which are the port of Santander, the UIMP, Ports of the State, the Valenciaport Foundation, the Government of Cantabria, the UC and Cantabria International Campus, have planned a program with three different modules. The titles of these modules are "Management and Innovation: Challenges and Opportunities", "Innovation Strategies" and "Portel ICT Services in the Port Maritime Field."
Tomorrow Thursday, in addition to the presentations, the participants will make two visits. The first one will be to the Institute of Environmental Hydraulics in the PCTCAN and the second will be to the agri -food solid bulk terminal managed by rate. Prior to these displacements, those responsible for both will intervene before the participants: Íñigo Losada, Professor of Hydraulic Engineering of the UC, and Andrés Gómez Bueno, general director of the GOF group.
On Friday, it will be dedicated to the exhibition of different experiences in innovation in the field of ports.
