The Aidablu ship makes its first scale in the port of Santander-Press NOTE (10/13/2011)

Yesterday morning there was the first scale in Santander of the ship "Aidablu", sixth ship of the Aida saga and eighth tourist cruise that stops in Santander so far this year. It is a luxurious cruise out of the shipyards in February 2010, of more than 250 meters in length and was consigned by Bergé Marítima. The ship, with 2452 passengers on board, arrived from the French port of Le Havre, and left the Anaos dock at five in the afternoon towards La Coruña, just before the bearing at the same dock of the Pont Aven In Santander, the ship's passengers conducted various excursions around the city and for some of the usual tourist points such as Comillas, Santillana del Mar or the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. On the occasion of this first scale, an act was held in the port of Santander in which the director of the Port Authority, Javier de la Riva, delivered to the captain of the ship of a commemorative metapa. The presence of this ship and the maintenance of the relationship between its shipping company and the port of Santander are two direct consequences of the continuous effort made from the Port Authority for increasing the number and importance of this type of traffic, improving the quality of the services received by the passengers and giving added value to the offer of Santander as the destination of cruises. This scale is the eighth that a tourist cruise performs this year at the docks of the port of Santander. From this moment until the cruise season ends, back in December, with the reconversion of the Pont Aven on cruise during the Christmas dates, the ships of this type that carry in the port of Santander, reaffirming it as one of the referents in this type of traffic in northern Spain.
