Mini Print International Cantabria breaks its participation record

Mini Print Internacional Cantabria breaks its Santander participation record, August 12, 2020. In its third edition, the Cantabria International Mini Print, The Sea and the Lighthouses, has again broken its participation record: 273 artists from 43 countries around the world have presented a total of 675 graphic works in small format (20 x 20 cm). All of them will be exhibited and visitable at the Faro Cabo Mayor Art Center from this Friday, August 14th and until December 31st. With this exhibition, the exhibition center is re-released after the covid-19 crisis. In this edition, the jury will be composed of Alexandra G. Núñez (director of the Creative Space Alexandra), Nuria García Gutiérrez (director of the Exhibition Area of the University of Cantabria) and Sara Huete (director of the Doctor Madrazo Cultural Center) as guest personalities, as well as Carlos Limorti (Port Authority of Santander), Andrea Juan (SM Pro Art) and Guillermo Balbona (El Diario Montañés). Special mention, deserve the data related to the Cantabrian Sea Prize reserved for artists born and born and / or resident in Cantabria and that is sponsored by El Diario Montañés. This will be the first year in which this distinction will be awarded, which aims to promote the practice of the graphic arts of The Cantabrian artists, having received a total of 47 works by 17 local artists. Finally, one more year stands out the number of artists who decide to donate the works that participate in the contest. The Art Center of the Cape Mayor Lighthouse will see its funds increased by almost 500 works in this edition. In this way, when the exhibition of the III International Mini Print Cantabria ends, the Lighthouse will have almost 1000 engravings in small format of important artists from all corners of the planet. In parallel with the Exhibition of Mini Print Internacional Cantabria, the Faro Cabo Mayor Art Center, under the Port Authority of Santander, resumes its activity with the permanent exhibition of the Sanz-Villar Collection, expanded in the temporary Cabo Menor room with a selection of works from the generation of Eduardo Sanz and Isabel Villar, including large format pieces by Eduardo Urculo and Rosa Torres , among other artists. Exhibitions can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:30 and from 18:00 to 21:00 hours, Saturdays from 12:00 to 14:30 and from 18:00 to 21:00 hours and Sundays from 12:00 to 14:30 hours. Admission to the Center is free of charge.
