Martín visits the works for the installation of new floating pontoons in Puertochico
The concession, granted to the Club Deportivo Amigos de Puertochico until 2037, has 195 moorings of lengths between 4.00 and 10.00 meters.
Santander 04/02/2022. The president of the Port Authority of Santander, Francisco Martin, this morning visited the works for the installation of new floating pontoons with capacity for 195 moorings in the Molnedo dock.
Martin, who was accompanied by the vice president of the Friends of Puertochico Sports Club Association, Eduardo Alea, said that the work is progressing "at a good pace" and said that "thanks to this investment" Puertochico will have a facility "much safer for both boats and for people and traffic within the dock.
The works, which have a completion period of four months, provide for the elimination of dead, anchor trains and all types of submerged structures, the installation of floating pontoons for the docking of sports boats, the channeling for power supply to the facilities of the concession and improved access control.
Last October, the Board of Directors of the Port Authority approved the granting of an administrative concession to the Asociación Club Deportivo Amigos de Puertochico for the occupation of a water surface of 4,153 m2 and a subsoil surface of 6.5 m2 in the Dársena de Molnedo. The objective is that the Association can continue for a period of 15 years with the occupation of the port public domain that it has been enjoying under concession and that expired in 2022.
