Martín and Marcano present a series of concerts in emblematic lighthouses of Cantabria to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Port of Cantabria. The Luz de Música festival will take place on four weekends in September in the lighthouses of Cabo Mayor (Santander), Cabo Ajo (Bareyo), Punta del Torco (Suances) and Punta Silla (San Vicente de la Barquera). Zahara, Coque Malla, Christina Rosenvinge, Love of Lesbian, Ariel Rot, Kiko Veneno, Sofía Ellar, La Bien Querida and Los Secretos will be the protagonists of an event with limited capacity and a production adapted to the environment. The president of the Port Authority of Santander, Francisco Martin and the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Innovation, Transport and Trade of the Government of Cantabria and vice president of the Port, Francisco Javier Lopez Marcano, presented today at the Lighthouse of Cabo Mayor, the festival Luz de Música, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Port of Santander. It is, as explained by the director of the festival and manager of Mouro Productions, Guillermo Vega, a series of eight unique concerts that will take place during the four weekends in September in the lighthouses of Cabo Mayor (Santander), Cabo Ajo (Bareyo), Punta del Torco (Suances) and Punta de la Silla (San Vicente de la Barquera), with Zahara, Coque Malla, Christina Rosenvinge, Love of Lesbian, Ariel Rot, Kiko Veneno, Sofia Ellar, La Bien Querida, Los Secretos and Egon Soda as the main protagonists of an event with limited capacity and a production adapted to the environment. For the president of the Port Authority "taking advantage of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Port of Santander", this performance "aims to value the lighthouses, which are great unknown in privileged environments, so that Cantabrians and visitors can enjoy them. For his part, the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Innovation, Transport and Trade and Vice President of the Port has predicted that the concerts will have "a great acceptance" and stressed "the quality of the concerts, which will be intergenerational, and the wisdom of having chosen the lighthouses as scenarios. The celebration of the Light of Music festival is part of the activities planned for the 150th anniversary of the Port of Santander and aims to illuminate the sunsets of September with intimate concerts by renowned artists, accompanied by DJ sessions, in four emblematic lighthouses of Cantabria where a very careful production will be designed to ensure sustainability and respect the conservation of the environment. Concerts and dates The program will begin on Friday, September 2 at the Cabo Mayor lighthouse in Santander with a performance by Zahara and a session by DJ Perarnau IV. In the same location will be held the concert of Coque Malla and DJ Javi Hierro on Saturday September 3 and Christina Rosenvinge and Egon Soda on Sunday September 4, all with a limited capacity of 500 people. In addition, in the lighthouse Cabo Ajo de Bareyo are scheduled concerts by Love of Lesbian and DJ Chema Armengou on Friday September 9, while Kiko Veneno and Ariel Rot will perform on Saturday September 10, in all cases before a maximum capacity of 1,500 spectators. On the other hand, the lighthouse of Punta del Torco in Suances will be the venue for the concerts of Sofia Ellar and Sara Súa as guest artist on Friday September 16 and La Bien Querida and DJ Blue Monday on Saturday September 17, with a limited capacity of 500 attendees. As a finale, the Punta de la Silla lighthouse in San Vicente de la Barquera will host the closing concert of the Luz de Música festival, which will feature Los Secretos and DJ Poly and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 24 with a maximum capacity of 400 spectators. Tickets for all the concerts are on sale from this Monday on the official website of the event, www.luzdemusica.com, as well as in the sales channels of El Corte Ingles, on the web www.elcorteingles.es/entradas and in its stores throughout Spain with prices ranging from 25 to 35 euros plus booking fee depending on the night.
