Zone Zero of Solidarity" The Port Authority appreciates the extraordinary response of citizens on a weekend in which almost 7 tons of non-perishable food and necessities have been collected. Santander 11/05/2020. 7 tons of non-perishable and first-need products, 263 registered volunteers and 540 direct donors is the balance of the first weekend of the solidarity campaign "Palacete del Embarcadero. Zero Zone of Solidarity", organized by the Port Authority of Santander and the Food Bank of Cantabria. The SME would like to thank the welcome this campaign is having to help the most vulnerable people and those who have been particularly affected by the COVID-19 crisis, causing a real food alarm. However, it also calls for continued collaboration in such a generous way so that the Food Bank can continue to help meet the basic needs of all those living in Cantabria. In this initiative, many companies and institutions collaborate that have committed to collaborate to achieve, among all, the success of the campaign. Among them the artist OKUDA who has donated one of his works so that citizens can contemplate it from the place where they deliver their contribution. In addition, masks designed by him will be given to those who come to donate, until the end of stock. The collection campaign will take place between May and September of this year, and can be extended according to the needs of the Food Bank. Due to the success of the campaign the donation schedule is extended so that the Palacete will be open at the following times: -Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 hours and from 17:00 to 21:00 hours. -Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 21:00 hours.
