The Centro de Arte Faro Cabo Mayor (CAFCM) hosts from today the exhibition, organized by the Port Authority of Santander (APS) and SM Pro Art, on the fourth edition of the Mini Print International Cantabria "The Sea and the Lighthouses". The president of the APS, Francisco Martin, has highlighted "the success of call" of participation in the contest since this year "has again beaten its record of participation with 279 registered artists from 42 countries around the world, who have submitted a total of 686 graphic works in small format".
Martín has also highlighted "the quality and quantity" of artists who have decided to donate to CAFCM their non-awarded works so that, when the exhibition of the IV Mini Print International Cantabria ends, the Mini Print Cantabria Collection will treasure almost 1,500 small format prints "by important artists from all corners of the planet".
The exhibition opens to the public at the Cabo Mayor Lighthouse Art Center with all the works received up to that moment. Again in this edition, due to the exceptional situation created by the pandemic, the works that arrive after that date and that have been sent before July 31, will be incorporated to the exhibition as they are received. Once the reception of all the works has been completed, the jury will meet to select the prizes and special mentions. The jury will be composed of a representative of the Port Authority of Santander, one from SM Pro Art and one from El Diario Montañés respectively, as well as at least one guest member.
In this edition of the Special Cantabrian Sea Award, sponsored by El Diario Montañés and which aims to promote the practice of engraving among Cantabrian artists, a total of 38 works by 15 artists born and born and / or residing in Cantabria will participate.
