Galletas Gullón, Europe's leading century-old galletera and leading manufacturer, has donated a truck loaded with more than 5 tons of products to the Food Bank of Cantabria.

In the event, which took place this morning at the Palacio del Embarcadero in Santander, Jaime González, President of the Port of Santander, Javier Urbón, Director of Institutional Relations of Galletas Gullón and Antonio Soler, member of the board of directors of banco de Alimentos de Cantabria, participated. The objective of Galletas Gullón with this initiative is to address the social urgency caused by the Covid-19 facing Cantabrian society. In this sense, the company has delivered food, masks and other necessities during the last months of Alarm Status. This donation joins the more than four tons made by Galletas Gullón so far to Cantabrian NGOs and institutions, including the Banco de Alimentos de Cantabria, the Tres Mares Hospital and Civil Protection in Reinosa.

The company's donations already add up to more than 60 tons spread between food and necessities across the country. The president of the APS appreciated the "generosity" of Galletas Gullón and advocated that both companies and individuals continue to participate in the "Palacete del Embarcadero" campaign.
