The III International Mini Print Cantabria "El Mar y los Faros" will have a Cantabrian Sea Award The Cantabria International Mini Print "El Mar y los Faros" has incorporated, for this third edition, a Special Prize called "Cantabrian Sea". This award, awarded by El Diario Montañés, has been endowed with 500 euros and is reserved for artists from or residing in Cantabria. That is to say that all those participants who were born in what is now the territory of Cantabria, although they do not currently reside in it; and all those who reside here, regardless of their place of birth (whether in Spain or abroad) are eligible for this award. The mechanics of the prize are that once the winners of the three main prizes of the contest, the jury, choose from all the works of artists who meet the aforementioned requirement to a winner or winner of this prize. Although it is only three weeks before the closing of the registrations to participate in this annual chart competition, in small format, jointly organized by the Port Authority of Santander and SM Pro Art Circle, the registrations march at a good pace, despite the limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the registration date was extended until July 15 of this year (the original date was June 15). The exhibition is scheduled to open on August 14 at the Cabo Mayor Lighthouse Art Center and can be visited until December 31. Details of the third edition: The prize is open to all disciplines of the graph, also admitting printed digital work and monotype. The general theme is El Mar y los Faros, but this does not imply that the work should be figurative. All kinds of aesthetic languages are supported. The image and paper must not exceed 20 x 20 cm. There is no minimum image or paper measurement. The work(s) must be without paspartú, frame, glass or frame. Each artist can present up to 3 works. Prizes: The following Prizes will be awarded: 1st Prize: 4000.- 2nd Prize: 1500.- 3rd Prize: 500.- Special Prize Cantabrian Sea: 500.- (awarded by El Diario Montañés) Awarded works will become part of the Heritage of the Cabo Mayor Lighthouse Art Center.
